My first book was a natural history and trail guide to the Oak Creek Canyon area in north-central Arizona. It went through several printings and editions finally culminating in the large format Red Rock—Sacred Mountain. All are out-of-print but occasionally found in used-book stores. |

One of my favorite topics is the Grand Canyon. So far 6 books, 2 videos, 1 booklet, and numerous articles have been published. See my Home Page for the most recent book. Also, check out www.naturepods.com for a personal tour guide to Grand Canyon National Park that you can download to your iPod or mp3 player. |

One of my best sellers has been Hiking Arizona, which has been updated and revised over the last 20 years. Local writer Bruce Grubbs and I put it together initially as a lark, not dreaming that it would become so popular. |

The Hole-in-the-Rock Trail located in southern Utah. It is a slight departure from my usual genre of natural history. But this historic route has fascinated me for years. The pioneers who undertook this journey thought the trip would only last a few weeks...it took 6 months! This was the last major wagon train in North America and probably the only one to go west to east. |
